Chelsea manager praises star player the club wants to sell, comparing them to Harry Kane

Mauricio Pochettino looks to once again be rating a player that the club allegedly want to sell, very highly.

We’ve had all the rumours and links with Conor Gallagher, and it looks like Pochettino could get his wish with him by keeping him in his squad, at least until the summer.

And now this past week has been all about Armando Broja and multiple reports from pretty much every outlet saying that Chelsea want to sell the striker this month.

Broja has been struggling a bit to find his feet of late after returning from a long term injury, but Pochettino has high belief in the young Albanian international and has even gone as far as comparing him with Harry Kane, or at least the situation that he is currently in.

As cited by The Guardian, Pochettino said on Broja: “The potential is massive. All the biggest strikers need time. When they are young, they need to find their own balance. But I believe that he has the potential to be an amazing striker.

“I always compare it to Harry Kane. He went on loan to Leyton Orient, Norwich and spent time finding his real balance. In our first six months he started to perform only in December and January and that’s when we started to see his real potential.”

It’s obviously a big compliment to be compared to Kane, but these words are a little bizarre seeing as it looks quite likely that Broja could be sold very soon.
