Pochettino move to signing Bayern Munich star defender wanted by top six European clubs
Chelsea are one of the clubs that are trying to sign Bayern Munich star Benjamin Pavard this summer transfer window.
Former boss Thomas Tuchel got the full backing of that CHELSEA board over the course of the last summer transfer window and honestly – signed some players that have made a real difference to the quality of the squad.
However – there is also alot of signings that at the club that have failed to impress and that means that new boss Mauricio Pochettino will look to add some more new faces to the squad in the summer.
Pavard has developed into one of the best defenders in the Bundesliga with Bayern – and was just about persuaded to stay at Bayern in the summer window despite interest from Manchester United, CHELSEA, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Juventus.
Chelsea were again linked with a move in the January window – but the Frenchman opted to stay put and add another Bundeliga title to the cabinet.
WHAT IS THE LATEST?
He has made the decision to leave Bayern Munich, according to Bild, and now a number of clubs are reportedly working on a deal to try and sign the Frenchman.
Chelsea, along with Man City, Man United and Real Madrid are all interested and have contacted the players representatives over a potential deal.
WOULD HE BE A GOOD SIGNING FOR POCHETTINO?
Pavard is a top-class defender that would add to that CHELSEA side – so now that he is on the market – the Blues should at least made an offer – he would be worth signing guys
He is just the type of signing that Pochettino would love to have, and with reports Reece James keep picking up injuries – he would be a very solid signing for the new Blues boss.
