“Real Madrid ‘Source’ Delivers Scathing Rebuke to UEFA and Ballon d’Or Amid Club’s Decision to Boycott Awards”

“Real Madrid Insider Blasts UEFA and Ballon d’Or in Fiery Statement Following Club’s Award Boycott”
Real Madrid’s intense statement ahead of the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris has surfaced online.
The club reportedly expressed anger after learning the outcome of the 2024 Ballon d’Or. The ceremony, held at Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, will honor the world’s top player for 2024, along with other awards.
Speculation had been high that Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr would win his first Ballon d’Or following an incredible season.
Spanish outlet MARCA even front-paged the news, claiming Vinicius was “receiving the Ballon d’Or today” after a season with 26 goals and 11 assists, helping Los Blancos clinch both La Liga and the Champions League.
However, reports have since revealed that both Vinicius and Real Madrid would boycott the ceremony, as they had learned Vinicius would not be the winner. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, following RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins, reported that no Real Madrid representatives, including Carlo Ancelotti, Florentino Perez, or Jude Bellingham, would attend.
Manchester City’s Rodri, favored for the award after a stellar season, is now expected to take the Ballon d’Or. Real Madrid is reportedly furious, feeling disrespected by the outcome, with many believing that if not Vinicius, then Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal, who helped Spain secure the Euro 2024 victory, should be recognized.
A Real Madrid source, cited by AS, stated, “If the award criteria do not recognize Vinicius, they must honor Carvajal. Since this hasn’t happened, it’s clear that the Ballon d’Or and UEFA do not respect Real Madrid. And Real Madrid is not present where it is not respected.”
While Real is nominated for Team of the Year and has contenders in various categories, the report indicates Vinicius was a key figure in the boycott decision, supported by his teammates.
