In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Alexander-Arnold was asked to choose between winning the Champions League, World Cup, or the Ballon d’Or. Surprisingly, the Liverpool right-back chose the Ballon d’Or—a pick that Jamie Carragher described as “strange.”
Carragher added that winning the Ballon d’Or as a Liverpool right-back would be nearly impossible, noting that the prestigious award is usually claimed by players from Real Madrid or Barcelona. Despite rumors that Liverpool is scouting for his replacements, some believe Alexander-Arnold’s loyalty to the Reds shouldn’t be questioned.
Liverpool fans hope this remains true, especially after Real Madrid’s unexpected boycott of the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris.
