“Man Utd Star Set for Month-Long Absence Following Latest Injury Blow Ahead of Chelsea Showdown”

“Man Utd Midfielder Out for a Month After Latest Injury Setback Ahead of Chelsea Match”
The Manchester United player will miss the weekend’s match at Old Trafford.
Manchester United has suffered an injury setback ahead of their Premier League clash with Chelsea on Sunday, November 3.
Ruud van Nistelrooy, 48, is expected to lead the team after their impressive 5-2 Carabao Cup victory against Leicester at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Van Nistelrooy stepped into the interim managerial role on Monday following Erik ten Hag’s departure from the club, having previously served as Ten Hag’s assistant since July 2024.
The Dutchman revealed that he consulted former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson before the midweek match and may rely on his guidance once more.
In the game against the Foxes, he employed a 4-2-3-1 formation with Manuel Ugarte and Casemiro in central midfield, while Bruno Fernandes played ahead of them in the attacking role.
However, it’s another midfielder facing a period on the sidelines.
Toby Collyer, 20, who made his Premier League debut in a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool at Old Trafford in September, is now expected to be out for at least a month, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Before the 2-1 win over Brentford on October 19, Ten Hag confirmed the injury but did not provide further details.
Collyer recently shared his excitement about breaking into the first team, stating it was a lifelong dream.
“It’s been fantastic to transition into the first-team environment, which I’ve always aspired to,” he told Manchester United.com. “I’m focused on working hard and earning my spot in the squad.”
He recalled the thrill of training with the first team for the first time, emphasizing his desire to stay in that environment.
The past few months have been significant for the young player, who made his first senior appearance in the FA Community Shield loss to Manchester City, becoming the 251st graduate from United’s academy.
Collyer was also called up to the England Under-20 squad for matches against the Czech Republic and Italy in October.
