Following the loss at the Bernabeu, Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti admitted his team “should be worried” and highlighted the need to become “more solid, more compact,” noting that his side has conceded numerous goals recently. Ancelotti remarked, “We’re missing something,” adding that while chances were created, their real problem lies in how easily opponents find scoring opportunities.

With nine goals conceded in their last three games, Real Madrid’s defensive lapses seem to be a significant factor in their dip in form. However, Thierry Henry identified another critical issue.

Speaking on CBS Sports, Henry focused on Jude Bellingham’s relentless movement, contrasting it with Kylian Mbappe’s more static play. “It’s always Bellingham making the runs, trying to drive the team forward,” Henry commented. He noted that Mbappe, often not pushing up or making off-the-ball runs, limits Real Madrid’s attacking fluidity.

Henry suggested that the ongoing situation might pose challenges for Ancelotti as he works to adapt the lineup. Mbappe, he argued, must learn to embrace a more forward role. The absence of Rodrygo from the starting lineup was also raised as a factor, with Henry highlighting Rodrygo’s past contributions to team balance.

Moving forward, Henry stressed the urgency for Ancelotti to find a system where all players can operate cohesively if Real Madrid hopes to return to top form.
