“Luke Shaw Makes Long-Awaited Comeback to Man Utd Training After Three-Month Layoff”

“Luke Shaw Returns to Man Utd Training After Three-Month Absence”
Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has rejoined training after being sidelined for three months with an injury.
The England left-back, who last appeared for United in February, sustained a calf injury in early August. Although he was initially expected to return after October’s international break, former manager Erik ten Hag confirmed Shaw had encountered a “setback.”
Shaw’s previous hamstring injury in February kept him out for the remainder of last season, though he recovered in time to join England’s Euro 2024 squad and started in the final loss to Spain after missing the group stages.
Meanwhile, Christian Eriksen and Mason Mount returned from injury to help United secure a 2-0 Europa League victory over PAOK on Thursday. Leny Yoro, signed from Lille this summer, is also back in training after a preseason foot fracture but is yet to make his competitive debut.
Interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy is optimistic about the improving injury situation. “Christian played 30 minutes, and Mason also played,” Van Nistelrooy noted. “It’s beneficial for us, and I’m happy they’re back. For long-term absentees like Luke and Leny, they’re back on the pitch with us.”
