Chelsea deliberately let go of the chance to sign Manchester United super star this summer
According to the Athletic via Metro, Chelsea declined the chance to sign new Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer.
Inter Milan attempted to spark a bidding war for Onana by reportedly inviting Chelsea to challenge Manchester United for the Cameroonian’s signature.
Inter Milan were unimpressed with United’s opening bid of around £32million which they rejected immediately and had hoped to spark a bidding war by inviting Chelsea to bid for the goalkeeper.
However, Chelsea declined the chance to challenge United for Onana as Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has other priorities this summer and the club are confined by Financial Fair Play rules.
