Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are now being linked with Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.
According to journalist Miguel Delaney in The Independent, Liverpool are interested in signing Conor Gallagher from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Delaney has written in his Reading the Game newsletter (12:31pm, July 21, 2023) that Chelsea and England international midfielder Gallagher is among the players Liverpool are looking at.
The reporter has claimed that Liverpool “greatly like” the £50,000-a-week (Spotrac) 23-year-old midfielder.
Delaney wrote: “If Jordan Henderson does follow Fabinho to the Saudi Pro League, the expectation is that Liverpool could go for two more midfielders.
“Lavia is one they are strongly considering, but there is actually a host of names given they were already going for two this summer even before these prospective departures.
“Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai were just at the top of a long list. Others they greatly like are Khephren Thuram and even Conor Gallagher.”

The new Premier League campaign will start in a matter of week.
If Liverpool are keen on the youngster, then they should get active now and beat other clubs in the race for the midfielder.
West Ham United have been strongly linked with Gallagher, while there is speculation that Tottenham Hotspur are already in talks over a potential deal for the midfielder.
Gallagher is a player in demand.
We believe that the midfielder would pick Liverpool over other clubs, but the Merseyside outfit need to make a move now and not wait.
Gallagher has made 99 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The England international midfielder has scored 13 goals and given six assists in those games.
Last season, the 23-year-old made 18 starts and 17 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea.
Gallagher scored three goals and gave one assist in those matches.
Liverpool will be aiming to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
