Liverpool is set to implement a squad revamp for Arne Slot, with three major players already on the market for sale.

Liverpool is prepared to initiate a squad overhaul under Arne Slot, with three important players already set to be sold.
Liverpool may be leading the Premier League, but changes are still expected this summer under Arne Slot. Despite the Reds currently holding a six-point lead over second-placed Arsenal and having a game in hand, the club is reportedly planning a significant squad overhaul, with three key players potentially being sold.
Slot’s team is on track to win the Premier League in his first season as manager, following his appointment last summer after Jurgen Klopp’s departure. Klopp’s tenure saw significant success, including Premier League and Champions League titles.
In addition to domestic success, Liverpool is in the last 16 of the Champions League, preparing for the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United, and set to face Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup fourth round. However, Liverpool made only one major signing last summer, bringing in winger Federico Chiesa from Juventus for £10m. They also didn’t make any further moves in the January transfer window, leaving the squad largely unchanged since Klopp’s departure.
Reports suggest that major changes are on the horizon, with attackers Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, and Luis Diaz possibly leaving. Nunez and Diaz are expected to be targeted by Saudi Pro League clubs, while Jota’s future is uncertain due to his injury history. All three players will be entering the final years of their contracts in the coming seasons, raising questions about their future at Anfield.
Diaz joined Liverpool from Porto in January 2022 for £37.5m, while Nunez arrived from Benfica in the summer of the same year for £64m. Jota, signed from Wolves in 2020, could have cost up to £45m. To date, Nunez has scored 39 goals in 127 appearances, Diaz 36 in 130 matches, and Jota 64 in 165 games for the club.
