“Shock Move? Arsenal Eye Surprise Summer Swoop for Liverpool Attacker on £140-a-Week Deal”

“Report: Arsenal Plotting Stunning Summer Swoop for Liverpool Star on £140-a-Week Deal”
Arsenal Eyeing Attacking Reinforcements for Summer Window
The Gunners are eager to strengthen their frontline in the upcoming transfer window after missing out on key targets in January. Despite links to RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins, Arsenal failed to secure a new striker.
Mikel Arteta believes his squad lacks depth in attack, especially following Gabriel Jesus’ long-term injury. According to Anfield Watch, Arsenal are now weighing up a shock move for Liverpool’s Diogo Jota, who could be available for the right price.
Since arriving from Wolves, the Portuguese forward has impressed at Anfield, but his recurring injury issues have frustrated Liverpool’s management. Over four and a half seasons, Jota has missed around 95 games due to fitness problems. With Liverpool planning a squad overhaul, they are open to selling the 28-year-old.
While new Reds boss Arne Slot would be reluctant to sell to a direct rival, reports suggest Jota is on the market, with interest also coming from clubs abroad. This season, he has made 20 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing two assists. His versatility allows him to play across the frontline, making him an appealing option for Arsenal.
However, his injury history makes him a risky signing, and Arteta may need to consider alternative targets. Alongside Jota, Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher is also expected to leave Anfield at the end of the season.
