Liverpool have identified three potential centre-back targets as they prepare for life after Virgil van Dijk.

Despite their desire to extend Van Dijk’s stay, Liverpool are actively exploring defensive reinforcements. They have accelerated plans to sign a new centre-back in the summer, with Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen emerging as a key target. The young defender has been outstanding this season, playing a crucial role in Bournemouth’s strong campaign and attracting interest from top European clubs.

Tottenham’s Micky van de Ven is another player on Liverpool’s radar. Since moving to the Premier League, the Dutch defender has impressed with his speed and tactical awareness.

Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi is also being considered as a more experienced option.
