“Liverpool player ‘Dizzy’ reveals impact of collision during victory over Man City.”

Mac Allister Displays Battle Scars After Liverpool’s Victory Over Man City
Alexis Mac Allister took to social media to showcase minor injuries sustained during Liverpool’s 2-0 triumph over Manchester City on Sunday.
The Argentine midfielder was involved in an accidental clash with Omar Marmoush in the first half at the Etihad Stadium, requiring medical attention on the pitch before being cleared to continue following a thorough assessment.
Mac Allister ‘Dizzy’ After Collision with Marmoush
The 2022 World Cup winner shared an Instagram story on Monday revealing a black eye and a swollen cheek, likely caused by his clash with the Egyptian striker, who had a goal ruled out for offside.
Speaking about the incident, Mac Allister told reporters in the mixed zone: “When Marmoush scored the disallowed goal, he landed on me, and I hit the floor. I felt a little dizzy, but these things happen.”
No Long-Term Concerns for the Liverpool Midfielder
Despite the impact, the collision didn’t prevent Liverpool’s No. 10 from finishing the match. He was expected to undergo further medical checks on Monday to rule out any lingering issues that might affect his availability for the midweek clash against Newcastle.
Given that he played the remainder of Sunday’s match, the 26-year-old is likely to be fit for Wednesday unless medical staff identify any delayed concerns.
The incident didn’t stop Mac Allister from making his mark on the game, as the former Brighton star won two tackles and two duels (Sofascore) to help Liverpool secure what Jamie Carragher called a ‘statement’ victory.
It’ll take more than a tough challenge to keep him from giving his all for the team!
