Federico Chiesa’s father shares thoughts on Liverpool star’s future.

Federico Chiesa has faced challenges during his first season at Liverpool, but his father, Enrico Chiesa, insists the forward remains happy at the club and determined to prove himself.

Despite scoring the winning goal in Liverpool’s Carabao Cup final victory at Wembley, Chiesa has struggled for consistent game time. With just nine Premier League matches left, his role in the squad could still change, though rumors about a possible summer departure are already circulating.

Speaking to Tuttosport, Enrico Chiesa emphasized his son’s commitment to Liverpool. “Federico is very happy at Liverpool. He’s at a top club leading the Premier League, and now we hope he can win the title! He has a great opportunity to make an impact,” he said.

Chiesa has yet to start a league match and has been in the starting lineup only twice in 11 appearances. Once considered among Europe’s top attacking prospects, his limited playing time might be frustrating.

However, his father remains confident in his mindset. “I’ve always told him what I’ve said since he was a child—keep training, don’t give up, and be ready when the opportunity comes,” Enrico shared.

Although a summer move is still a possibility, Chiesa’s father insists there are no regrets about leaving Juventus. With international fixtures taking place this month, he was the only senior outfield player at Liverpool not called up for national duty, allowing him to return to Italy for a short break and stay sharp in preparation for earning more chances in the team.
