“Federico Chiesa’s Father Drops Insight on Liverpool Star’s Future”

Federico Chiesa hasn’t had the smoothest ride at Liverpool this season, but according to his father, Enrico Chiesa, the forward remains happy at the club and is determined to make his mark.

While the 27-year-old delivered a standout moment by scoring the winner in Liverpool’s Carabao Cup final at Wembley, it’s been one of few bright spots in what’s been a tough campaign. With just nine Premier League matches left, Chiesa’s role in the team could still shift—despite ongoing rumours of a potential summer departure.

Still, speaking to Tuttosport, Enrico Chiesa emphasized his son’s commitment to Liverpool.

“Federico is really happy at Liverpool. He’s playing for a top club that’s currently leading the Premier League, and now we’re hoping he can go on to win the title!”

Chiesa Sr. said. “He’s there to make an impact—he has a big opportunity.”

Despite his talent and past accolades—including playing a key role in Italy’s Euro 2020 triumph—Chiesa has yet to start a Premier League game for Liverpool. He’s made only two starts in 11 appearances, which would test the patience of many players in his position.

Yet his father believes Federico’s mindset remains strong and focused.

> “I’ve been telling him the same thing since he was young,” Enrico said. “He didn’t get much playing time until he was 15.”

I told him then, and I tell him now: keep training, never give up, and be ready when your chance comes.”

A move away from Liverpool this summer hasn’t been ruled out, but Enrico insists there’s no regret over leaving Juventus.

With international duty underway, Federico stayed behind as the only senior outfield Liverpool player not called up—giving him valuable time back in Italy to reset and prepare for the final stretch of the season as he looks to earn a regular spot in Klopp’s side.
