Jurgen Klopp set to disappoint Liverpool fans by sealing an unexpected deal with a surprise club.

Jurgen Klopp may still influence a potential Liverpool transfer despite departing the club at the end of last season.
The 57-year-old left Liverpool after the 2023/24 campaign, having won eight trophies, including the 2019/20 Premier League title and the Champions League the year before. He has since taken on a new role as Red Bull’s Head of Global Soccer, overseeing clubs such as RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig.
According to Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Klopp is keen on bringing Real Madrid’s Arda Guler to RB Leipzig, which could impact Liverpool’s reported interest in the Turkish midfielder.
Guler, 20, joined Real Madrid in July 2023 and gained recognition with standout performances at last summer’s Euros. However, injuries have hampered his season, limiting him to just three goals in 31 appearances under Carlo Ancelotti. Despite his struggles, Ancelotti recently praised Guler for his quality following Madrid’s 3-2 victory over Leganes.
Madrid’s stance on Guler’s future remains uncertain, especially given his long-term contract running until 2029. With a Transfermarkt valuation of €45m (£37.6m), any transfer would likely require a significant fee.
There was speculation in January about a potential loan move for Guler to gain more first-team experience, though no deal materialized. Recently, he has been linked with a loan move to Bournemouth, a move that could reportedly help facilitate Dean Huijsen’s transfer to Real Madrid, according to Cadena SER.
