We’re bringing you live coverage of Arne Slot’s press conference as he previews Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League match away at Leicester City. The Reds boss is set to speak to the media from 9am.

This will be Slot’s first media appearance since Virgil van Dijk signed a new two-year deal with Liverpool, following in the footsteps of Mohamed Salah in committing his future to the club.

Liverpool are just six points from sealing the Premier League title and could even be crowned champions this weekend if Arsenal slip up at Ipswich Town ahead of the Reds’ clash with Leicester. Slot is also expected to address the status of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has returned to training after more than a month out. His contract situation is still unresolved, while Joe Gomez remains unavailable.

Paul Gorst and Theo Squires are reporting live from the AXA Training Centre.

Slot on the title race:
“My focus isn’t on the title just yet. Right now, all attention is on Leicester and how we can improve as a team. We’ve put in solid work this week, and we’re preparing one game at a time.”

Slot on Alexander-Arnold:
“As always, we don’t discuss contract matters publicly until they’re finalized — and that hasn’t happened yet.

Trent has trained with us this week, and he’s shown real dedication. He’s reminded us just how important he is — both in terms of ability and commitment. Everyone knows the kind of full-back he is and what he brings to Liverpool.

He’s not ready to start, but if all goes well today and tomorrow, there’s a chance he could be on the bench. His first session with the squad was Wednesday, so we’ll see. It’d be great to have him involved again.”
