Liverpool Ready to Cut Ties with Darwin Nunez for £38m Amid Growing Transfer Interest

Liverpool are reportedly prepared to offload Darwin Nunez this summer, setting a £38 million price tag, according to AS. The Uruguayan forward has struggled to find consistency at Anfield, registering just seven goals and seven assists in 42 appearances during the 2024–25 season—only eight of which were Premier League starts.

Manager Arne Slot has questioned Nunez’s work rate in certain games, adding fuel to speculation about his departure. Atlético Madrid have emerged as frontrunners for his signature, with Diego Simeone reportedly keen to bring Nunez in as a potential replacement for Ángel Correa.

Liverpool are said to be open to a loan deal that includes a mandatory purchase clause, provided the interested club covers most of Nunez’s wages. While the striker has also attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, a move to a Champions League regular like Atlético Madrid could be more appealing.
