Arsenal and Manchester United have been informed of the price tag to secure Viktor Gyokeres in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Viktor Gyokeres, the former Coventry City striker, has become one of Europe’s most clinical finishers at Sporting CP, drawing serious attention from at least two Premier League clubs.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in reuniting Gyokeres with ex-Sporting coach Ruben Amorim, while Arsenal’s urgent need for a striker this summer makes them a strong contender as well.

Gyokeres has quickly become a top transfer target for both English giants. However, bringing the Swedish star back to England won’t come cheap. While he has expressed a desire to join Real Madrid, a move to Arsenal or United is considered more realistic. According to The Mirror’s John Cross, Arsenal have placed Gyokeres on their list of striker targets and a deal could happen—provided the financial terms are right.

“Arsenal have been informed that Gyokeres is available for £60 million,” Cross reports.

Set to turn 27 next month, Gyokeres has become an increasingly appealing option thanks to his incredible goal-scoring form. Sporting are open to selling and have already started early transfer planning. With 95 goals in 100 games, Gyokeres is expected to demand a salary exceeding £200,000 per week, which would place him among Arsenal’s highest earners.

The Mirror also claims that Sporting have a prearranged agreement to let him go if the price is met, and have already set aside the money for squad reinforcements.

Cross explains: “There is believed to be a clause allowing Gyokeres to leave if a club pays €70 million (just over £60 million), and Sporting have already earmarked those funds for a summer rebuild. However, a bidding war could drive the price higher, putting pressure on clubs to move quickly.”

Where will Gyokeres land this summer?
Arsenal seem like a great fit for the Swedish striker, but Manchester United’s interest—particularly if they qualify for the Champions League—could sway things, especially with Amorim involved.

The Gunners do have alternative targets. Although Newcastle’s Alexander Isak is likely out of reach, RB Leipzig’s Slovenian striker Benjamin Šeško remains on Arsenal’s radar as another potential option.
