Reports from Record suggest that Atletico are pursuing Sporting Lisbon forward Viktor Gyokeres, a move that could potentially free up Alvarez for a transfer.

If Atletico do succeed in landing Gyokeres, Liverpool may get the opportunity to bring Alvarez back to England.

The Argentine forward, who scored 29 goals last season for the Spanish side, could be an ideal fit in Arne Slot’s system.
