Journalist Pete O’Rourke shared an update on Liverpool’s interest in the England international, noting that any transfer would depend on various factors.

“If Luis Diaz were to leave, whether it’s to Barcelona, the Saudi Pro League, or elsewhere, they would need a left-winger,” he said.

Gordon almost joined Liverpool last summer when Newcastle was pressured to sell due to PSR regulations.

Liverpool is still monitoring Gordon and remains interested, but Newcastle wants to keep him as he’s a key player for Eddie Howe.

Having signed a long-term deal last October, convincing Newcastle to part with him would require an offer of £75-80 million.

“It appears to be a tough deal; a significant fee would be needed to motivate them to sell. With Champions League football, their PSR situation has improved, reducing their need to sell top players.”

At just 24, Gordon has attracted attention for his energetic play, goal-scoring, and versatility.

Liverpool seeks wingers who can defend and support quick transitions—traits that Gordon consistently showcases.
