Manchester City are closing in on the signing of a midfielder from Premier League rivals Liverpool.

Manchester City Close to Signing Liverpool Academy Prospect Kaylum Moss
Manchester City are nearing an agreement to sign Kaylum Moss, a highly-rated youngster from Liverpool’s academy, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Negotiations between the two clubs are progressing smoothly, with the final terms currently being finalised as City aim to add the talented teenager to their youth ranks.
Moss, regarded as one of the standout players in Liverpool’s U15 squad, has impressed scouts nationwide with his consistent performances over the past year. Manchester City have acted swiftly to bring the promising midfielder to the Etihad, beating out interest from other clubs.
Fabrizio Romano shared on X:
“Manchester City are closing in on one more signing for the Academy, Kaylum Moss from Liverpool.
Kaylum’s highly rated as a big talent for U15 level, Manchester City are working on key details with Liverpool.”
Though first-team transfers often dominate headlines, City continue to show a strong commitment to youth development. They recently added Norwegian starlet Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg, and Moss is seen as another long-term addition to strengthen their academy pipeline.
Viewed as a central figure in City’s future U18 setup, Moss has impressed with his versatility and technical ability in midfield. The club believes he has the potential to rise through the ranks and eventually break into the senior team.
As City continue to target high-profile names like Rayan Cherki, Rayan Aït-Nouri, and Tijjani Reijnders, they are equally invested in nurturing the next generation of homegrown talent capable of performing on the world stage.
