“‘Liverpool set to agree Luis Diaz deal’ – fans respond to Sky Sports reporter’s update”

Liverpool supporters have made their feelings clear following the latest developments regarding Luis Diaz, as questions persist about his future at the club.
The Reds have been active in the current transfer window, bringing in several major signings. Florian Wirtz joined for a club-record fee, while Milos Kerkez arrived from Bournemouth and Jeremie Frimpong was also added to the squad.
However, there have also been significant departures, most notably Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined Real Madrid after letting his contract expire. Diaz is now among several players with uncertain futures at Anfield.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool may consider selling Diaz if he indicates he wants to leave, with no progress made on a new contract that runs until 2027. While the club would prefer to keep him, multiple clubs across Europe and beyond are monitoring his situation closely.
Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas reported that Liverpool have rejected an offer from Bayern Munich for Diaz and have informed both Bayern and Barcelona that the winger is “not for sale.”
Barcelona had shown interest previously but have now turned their focus to Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams. While this shift is a boost for Liverpool, the club’s plans regarding a potential contract extension for Diaz remain uncertain.
Interest from Saudi Arabia is also strong, with Al Nassr reportedly considering a £71 million offer. If Liverpool accept such a bid, Diaz could be tempted to leave.
Diaz had an impressive season, scoring 17 goals and recording five assists, becoming a vital part of Arne Slot’s squad in both wide and central roles.
Despite the club’s refusal to sell, many fans are urging Liverpool to resolve the situation by offering him a new contract. One supporter commented, “Offer him a contract extension then if we don’t wanna sell him,” while another added, “If he’s not for sale, give him a contract he deserves.”
