Liverpool is keen on signing a new striker this summer, especially after Darwin Nunez’s move to Al Hilal. The club has already made several strong additions to their squad, including Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez.

With the Premier League season starting soon, Liverpool is prioritizing the search for a striker. Their main target is Alexander Isak from Newcastle United, but they are exploring other options as well.

One potential alternative is Yoane Wissa from Brentford, who scored 20 goals last season. However, recent reports indicate that Wissa prefers a move to Newcastle and is not considering Liverpool. Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie stated that Wissa has verbally agreed on personal terms with Newcastle and is eager to play there, especially in the Champions League.

While Wissa’s decision could be a setback for Liverpool, it might help them in negotiations for Isak. Newcastle, having lost players like Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United, is also looking to strengthen their squad in the coming weeks.
