Brandt has been a key figure for Dortmund since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2019, tallying 47 goals and 66 assists across 271 appearances. However, he lost his guaranteed starting place last season and has struggled for consistency this campaign, casting doubt on his future at Signal Iduna Park. With his contract expiring at the end of the season, he will be free to negotiate a pre-contract with overseas clubs from January.
