Liverpool have been informed they already possess England’s next No.9 in their ranks, with another of the club’s ‘special talents’ earning high praise.

Liverpool might have spent over £200 million on attacking reinforcements this summer — including the £116 million signing of playmaker Florian Wirtz — but Arne Slot also has a “special talent” and a potential “future England No.9” already in his squad.

The Dutch coach bolstered his frontline with the record-breaking £125 million arrival of Alexander Isak and £79 million signing Hugo Ekitike, adding to an already impressive attacking lineup.

Despite mixed results before the international break, Slot’s options in attack are the envy of many, with Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, and Federico Chiesa all competing for places when fully fit.

Among them, rising star Rio Ngumoha has already made headlines after netting a dramatic winner against Newcastle United in August. But he’s not the only youngster drawing attention.

Former Wales boss Rob Page — now in charge of Liverpool’s under-21s — has tipped another academy product, Jayden Danns, to one day lead the line for England.

Speaking ahead of Wales’ friendly with England, Page praised both Ngumoha and Danns:

> “Rio’s a special talent — he thrives under pressure, stays calm, and has a fantastic attitude. He’s humble, eager to learn, and never switches off,” Page said on talkSPORT.

Ngumoha started Liverpool’s Carabao Cup win over Southampton last month before being replaced by Danns, who has also featured in the senior side. However, injuries have recently hampered both youngsters.

Despite those setbacks, Page is convinced of their potential:

> “I’ve got Jayden Danns here as well — he’s probably going to be the next England No.9 in the future.”

The coach went on to praise the pair’s professionalism and grounded nature, crediting Liverpool’s academy and their families for keeping them humble and focused.
