Bayern Munich have reportedly made a discreet move to explore the availability of Tottenham Hotspur defender Luka Vuskovic after the teenager’s standout performances during his loan spell in Germany.
The 18-year-old centre-back has impressed while playing for Hamburger SV this season, contributing two goals across 15 appearances in all competitions. His strong displays have not gone unnoticed, earning him his first two senior caps for the Croatia national team while continuing his development in the Bundesliga.
Vuskovic’s father has confirmed that the young defender will remain at HSV until the end of the campaign, after which discussions will take place with Tottenham to determine the next step in his career. Speaking to Sportske Novosti, he expressed satisfaction with his son’s progress in Germany, highlighting both his living conditions and training environment.
He also suggested that an immediate move to the Premier League may be premature, stressing that there is still room for growth and that staying in Germany for longer could be beneficial at this stage of his development.
Breaking into Tottenham’s first team could prove difficult given the established partnership of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, but Vuskovic’s continued form could put him firmly in contention in the future. His calm and commanding performances have attracted attention from top German clubs, with reports claiming Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig have made informal enquiries to Spurs regarding his situation. Tottenham, however, are said to have swiftly dismissed any notion of selling the defender, who is under contract until 2030. His progress has instead sparked internal discussions about potentially fast-tracking his integration into the first team.
Elsewhere, Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson is also drawing interest amid limited opportunities this season under Thomas Frank. Crystal Palace are reportedly keen to secure his signature ahead of the January transfer window and are pushing to reach an early agreement.
It is understood that Palace are considering an offer in the region of £35 million for the Wales international.
