Thomas Frank will be looking to complete a double over his former club on Thursday night as Tottenham Hotspur make the trip to the Gtech Stadium.

When the two sides last faced each other, it was Frank’s men who came out on top, claiming a 2–0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Goals from Richarlison and Xavi Simons sealed the victory against Keith Andrews’ side.

However, the Dane will be without Simons this time, with the Dutch playmaker suspended following the red card he received against Liverpool two gameweeks ago. Frank will therefore depend on the rest of his squad as Spurs aim to build on their recent 1–0 victory over Crystal Palace and secure consecutive league wins.

Despite Simons’ absence, Frank has been handed positive news on the injury front. Both Radu Dragusin and Kota Takai returned to the matchday squad against Crystal Palace, with Dragusin making his first appearance since January 2025, while Takai was named among the substitutes.

Cristian Romero is also back in contention after serving his one-match suspension, boosting Spurs’ defensive options ahead of the Brentford clash.

There were concerns, though, as Lucas Bergvall was forced off with a knock against the Eagles. He joined Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Dominic Solanke and Destiny Udogie on the list of absentees last time out.

Providing an update via Tottenham’s official channels, Frank struck an optimistic tone regarding his squad’s fitness. He confirmed that all players involved against Crystal Palace should be available again. On Udogie, he revealed that the defender has returned to the pitch for individual training sessions. As for Bergvall, Frank expressed confidence that the midfielder will be fit, admitting there is a small doubt but insisting he is fairly certain the youngster will be available.
