Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott is expected to return to Anfield during the January transfer window. The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Aston Villa, where the deal includes an obligation to buy if certain appearance-related conditions are met. However, those requirements are unlikely to be fulfilled due to his lack of regular playing time.

Villa are now prepared to send Elliott back to Liverpool, leaving the player to reassess his future in January. A report from TeamTalk claims Elliott is not part of Liverpool’s long-term plans, and the club are open to moving him on when the transfer window opens.

Fulham and Crystal Palace are both monitoring the situation closely, with Elliott keen to secure consistent minutes at this stage of his career. Remaining on the fringes at Liverpool would do little for his development, while a move to either Premier League side could provide him with a fresh opportunity and regular football.

A return to Fulham could be particularly appealing, with Elliott having come through the club’s academy before joining Liverpool. His creativity, versatility, and goal threat would make him a valuable addition to Marco Silva’s squad.

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, are also in need of added creativity in attack. Elliott’s ability to operate across multiple attacking roles could see him become an important figure at Selhurst Park if a deal is completed.
