Fiorentina have struck a deal with Tottenham Hotspur for Israeli forward Manor Solomon.

Fiorentina’s talks with Tottenham Hotspur come against the backdrop of growing links between the two clubs. The Serie A side have recently held discussions with Spurs’ co-sporting director Fabio Paratici about a potential return to Italy in a senior sporting role, only months after his reappointment in England.

Amid this relationship, Fiorentina have reached an agreement with Tottenham to sign Israeli winger Manor Solomon on loan, with the move now subject to a medical. According to The Athletic, the deal is a six-month loan and includes an option for the Italian club to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.

Solomon joined Tottenham in 2023 on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk, but his spell in north London was severely disrupted by a serious knee injury sustained in October of that year. The injury required surgery and sidelined him for the remainder of the season, preventing him from making another competitive appearance for Spurs.

Last season, the 26-year-old spent time on loan at Leeds United, where he regained form and fitness. He scored 10 goals in 39 appearances and played an important role in helping the club secure promotion back to the Premier League.

His move to Fiorentina has been made possible following the early termination of his loan at Villarreal. Solomon made six La Liga appearances for the Spanish side, scoring once, and has now been cleared to complete a switch to Florence.

Fiorentina are looking to strengthen their attacking options during a challenging campaign that currently sees them rooted to the bottom of the Serie A table.
