Pedro Porro’s influence in Tottenham’s attacking play has dipped this season, but a closer look at the numbers suggests the problem may not lie with the Spaniard himself.

During his first two seasons in north London, Porro was delivering eye-catching output in the final third, posting figures comparable to Trent Alexander-Arnold. While Porro previously benefited from supplying elite finishers such as Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, his low assist tally this season appears to be more a reflection of poor finishing in front of goal.
