Cristian Romero releases a brief 32-word message following Thomas Frank’s job-saving decision at Tottenham

Cristian Romero has delivered a 32-word message to Tottenham Hotspur supporters after Spurs secured a vital 2-0 Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund.
While much of the recent criticism has centred on Thomas Frank, the players themselves have also had to shoulder responsibility for a run of poor results. Consistency and intensity have been lacking, with Spurs struggling to produce strong performances week after week.
However, Tuesday night offered a timely reminder of Tottenham’s potential. Against a Dortmund side sitting second in the Bundesliga, Spurs produced one of their most complete displays in months to end a three-game losing streak in all competitions.
After the final whistle, club captain Romero took to social media to acknowledge the fans and underline the importance of unity during a difficult period. The Argentine stressed the need to stick together, keep fighting, and improve collectively, while thanking supporters for their continued backing.
The repeated emphasis on “staying together” has been viewed as a clear show of support for Frank, whose future had been under intense speculation in recent days.
Despite an injury-hit squad, Spurs dug deep and delivered a performance full of commitment and discipline, moving up to fourth place in the Champions League league-phase table as a result.
Romero also led by example on the pitch, opening the scoring with a well-taken finish from Wilson Odobert’s delivery. It marked his second goal in consecutive games, following his strike against West Ham last weekend.
While consistency over a full season remains an area for improvement, Romero once again proved decisive when it mattered most, captaining Spurs to a clean sheet and a statement victory on a crucial European night.
