Tottenham Open Negotiations to Land £20m West Ham Ace in ‘Ridiculous’ Player Swap Deal

West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur could be set for a surprising goalkeeper swap during the January transfer window, according to reports. Mads Hermansen has been linked with a potential exchange involving Antonin Kinsky, which would see the two London clubs reshuffle their backup goalkeeping options.

Both players currently serve as secondary choices at their respective clubs, with Kinsky behind first-choice Tottenham keeper Guglielmo Vicario. Hermansen, meanwhile, lost his starting role earlier in the season after a difficult run of Premier League performances, leading Nuno Espirito Santo to turn to Alphonse Areola instead.

With limited playing time for both goalkeepers, a move could be on the cards. A report from ExWHUEmployee claims that Tottenham and West Ham are in discussions over a loan swap deal that would send Hermansen to Spurs and Kinsky to the Hammers until the end of the season.

Speaking via The West Ham Way’s Patreon, the insider said that negotiations are ongoing for a temporary exchange involving the two goalkeepers. Although the proposal initially appeared unlikely, it is understood that Thomas Frank is an admirer of Hermansen, while Nuno Espirito Santo rates Kinsky, who previously played at Slavia Prague alongside El Hadji Malick Diouf and is believed to be open to the move.

Hermansen joined West Ham in the summer from relegated Leicester City in a £20 million deal, but he has struggled to secure a regular place in the squad.

Kinsky joined Tottenham last year during a period when Vicario was sidelined with a long-term injury. He has recorded one clean sheet in six Premier League appearances and has kept four clean sheets in total across all competitions.
