“Show Him Some Respect” – Jamie Carragher Hails Underrated Tottenham Star After Impressive Burnley Display

Ex-Tottenham Star Criticizes Club Leadership
Former Tottenham player Ramon Vega has publicly questioned CEO Vinai Venkatesham following his recent lunch with Thomas Frank, which resulted in the under-pressure manager retaining his role for another week. While the meeting seemed justified after Spurs’ 2-0 midweek win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Burnley raises doubts about how long Frank can continue.
Vega posted on social media:
“Vinai, are you planning another lunch with Frank? Make sure it’s just bagels. And what about the £150M you mentioned? Was that just marketing? Come on, get your finger out.”
During the Burnley match, he also warned:
“If it keeps going like this, I’m afraid to say it… the Championship is waiting for us.”
Fans Demand Frank’s Exit
Videos from the away stand at Turf Moor show Tottenham supporters voicing their frustration after the draw. Fans remained after the final whistle to chant:
“We want Frank out, we want Frank out.”
The protests suggest Frank’s position could be increasingly precarious if results don’t improve. Tottenham fan and YouTube creator Chris Cowlin shared clips of the chants on his X page.
Weekend Round-Up
Tottenham were unable to follow up their win against Borussia Dortmund, settling for a point against relegation-threatened Burnley. Meanwhile, Manchester City had no trouble beating Wolves 2-0, with Marc Guehi making his debut. Fulham relied on Harry Wilson once again for a late winner against Brighton, despite the visitors having a late goal ruled out.
