Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee has been heavily linked with a potential departure in recent weeks. A report from TeamTalk claims that the player’s representatives are still optimistic about arranging a move away from Old Trafford before the transfer window shuts.

Crystal Palace and Tottenham have both shown interest in the Dutch striker, though it remains unclear whether either club can strike a deal. The two London sides have already made enquiries, attracted by Zirkzee’s versatility, but Manchester United may be reluctant to allow the 24-year-old to join a domestic rival.

Zirkzee seeking a reset

United are unwilling to weaken their squad midway through the season and are hesitant to approve any exit. However, Zirkzee is keen to push for a move this month as he looks to secure regular minutes and strengthen his chances of making the Netherlands’ World Cup squad.

His spell at Manchester United has not gone to plan, with just nine goals and four assists from 65 appearances. With limited opportunities likely going forward, a move elsewhere could be the best option for the striker.

Potential option for Spurs and Palace

Tottenham are in need of added attacking depth, and Zirkzee could prove a useful option if he is able to rediscover his confidence and form. He would compete with Randal Kolo Muani and Dominic Solanke for a starting role.

A switch would be particularly appealing if Spurs can guarantee him consistent game time. Crystal Palace are also in the market for attacking reinforcements, especially with Jean-Philippe Mateta linked with a January exit.

Both clubs could offer the Netherlands international more regular opportunities, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops before the window closes.
