Thomas Frank delivers ‘100%’ update on Tottenham transfers with key decisions approaching

Tottenham Hotspur have already added Conor Gallagher and Souza to their squad this month, though further signings could still be completed before the January transfer window closes.

Thomas Frank has confirmed that Spurs remain active in the market as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the deadline. The club have already welcomed two new arrivals, but additional business has not been ruled out.

Gallagher sealed a £35 million move from Atletico Madrid, while Souza arrived from Brazilian side Santos earlier this month.

Tottenham have also been linked with Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson, whose Anfield contract expires in the summer. Despite talk of a possible £5 million deal, Liverpool boss Arne Slot recently played down the speculation, stating that he expects Robertson to remain at the club, according to the Express.

Nevertheless, Frank has reiterated that Spurs are still exploring potential additions before next Monday’s cut-off. Speaking ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt, the Spurs head coach outlined the club’s approach.

“We are 100% in the market,” Frank told TNT Sports. “When results aren’t at their best and injuries start to pile up, you can feel pressure to make decisions you might not want to for the future.

“But we have to carry out the right assessments and analysis to make decisions that bring short-term success while also benefiting us in the long run.”

There has also been speculation over possible departures, with Randal Kolo Muani linked with an early return to Paris Saint-Germain. Reports earlier this week suggested Tottenham are considering ending the forward’s loan spell.

As a result, Spurs have been tentatively connected with attacking reinforcements, including Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush.

Tottenham head into Wednesday’s meeting with Frankfurt sitting fifth in the Champions League table and close to securing a place in the last 16, which would allow them to avoid the play-off round. A top-eight finish guarantees automatic qualification, with Spurs currently on 14 points—one ahead of Newcastle United, PSG, Chelsea, Barcelona, Sporting Lisbon, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid and Atalanta, while Inter Milan and Juventus trail by just two points.
