Jürgen Klopp is preparing for a much-anticipated return to the Anfield touchline, though this time in a very different capacity to the one Liverpool fans grew used to during his legendary spell as manager.

According to trusted journalist James Pearce, Klopp will take on the role of assistant manager to Sir Kenny Dalglish when Liverpool Legends face Borussia Dortmund Legends on Saturday, March 28.

The fixture will be staged at Anfield as part of Liverpool’s ongoing Legends series, with the event raising funds for the LFC Foundation, the club’s official charity.

Klopp is currently an honorary ambassador for the foundation, and his involvement underlines the strong emotional and professional ties he continues to share with Liverpool following his departure from the first-team role.
