Tottenham Hotspur are still assessing the possibility of making late additions before Monday’s transfer deadline, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Speaking on GIVEMESPORT’s Market Madness podcast, Romano revealed that Spurs have made several enquiries over the past 24 hours to assess the feasibility of potential deals. While January transfers are often difficult to complete, he stressed that there remains a small window for movement before the 7pm deadline.

The club had earlier explored the idea of signing a striker, particularly amid uncertainty surrounding Randal Kolo Muani’s future. However, Romano explained that the competition for forwards is intense at this stage of the window, making any deal complicated.

Romano said Tottenham are still monitoring opportunities rather than pursuing primary targets, noting that any potential move would depend on circumstances developing late in the market.

Earlier in the window, Spurs secured the signing of midfielder Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid and completed a deal for left-back Souza from Santos. Brennan Johnson departed for Crystal Palace, while defender Kota Takai joined Borussia Monchengladbach on loan until the end of the season.

There has also been discussion around a possible loan move for Antonin Kinsky to West Ham United, though Tottenham are reportedly hesitant to sanction his departure so late in the window.

During the summer, Thomas Frank’s side invested heavily, welcoming Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha as part of a spending spree that exceeded £180 million.
