Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt two fresh injury concerns as they prepare to face Everton in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
Thomas Frank\u2019s side suffered a 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. Rodrigo Bentancur opened the scoring inside five minutes, but Morgan Rogers equalised before the break and Emi Buendia sealed the win for Villa in the 77th minute.<\/p>\n
Spurs now shift focus to their Champions League encounter with AS Monaco before travelling to face Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday. However, they may have to cope without two key players.<\/p>\n
Romero and Udogie concerns
\nCristian Romero withdrew from the starting line-up shortly before kick-off against Villa after picking up an issue during the warm-up. Thomas Frank confirmed that the defender is struggling with a minor adductor injury and remains doubtful for the upcoming fixtures. \u201cMinor adductor injury. He felt a little bit the past few days. We expected him to be fine but he wasn\u2019t. I don\u2019t think it is too big,\u201d said the Spurs boss.<\/p>\n
Destiny Udogie was also absent from the matchday squad after sustaining a knee irritation while on international duty with Italy. Frank provided an update, saying: \u201cHe came back from international duties with a minor irritation on the knee. Nothing major.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tottenham injury news
\nTottenham could have as many as nine players sidelined for the Everton clash. Ben Davies missed the Villa match after picking up an injury during Wales\u2019 4-2 defeat to Belgium in the international break.<\/p>\n
Dominic Solanke remains unavailable following ankle surgery last month, while Dejan Kulusevski continues his recovery from knee surgery. James Maddison is out for the season after rupturing his ACL during pre-season.<\/p>\n
Yves Bissouma is expected to be sidelined for several weeks after suffering an injury while on international duty with Mali. New signing Kota Takai has returned to training but is yet to make his debut since joining from Kawasaki Frontale. Radu Dragusin is nearing the end of his recovery from an ACL injury.<\/p>\n
Everton update
\nEverton head into the game following a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City. David Moyes could be boosted by the possible return of Jarrad Branthwaite, who has been out with a hamstring injury since pre-season.
