Club captain Romero withdrew during the warm-up of Sunday\u2019s 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa with an adductor problem, while Udogie has been dealing with minor knee irritation following international duty. Although neither issue is believed to be serious, both players missed Tuesday\u2019s training session at Hotspur Way and are doubts for the trip to Stade Louis II.<\/p>\n
Ben Davies was also absent, meaning Spurs could be missing as many as 10 players for the game. The team are already without Radu Dragusin, Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Dominic Solanke through injury, while Kota Takai and Mathys Tel are ineligible after being left out of the Champions League squad.<\/p>\n
When asked about Romero\u2019s chances of returning in time to face Monaco, Frank said after the Villa defeat: \u201cI don\u2019t know. He could be, he couldn\u2019t. I just don\u2019t know. Right now, my focus was on speaking to the players and preparing for the next steps. We\u2019ll assess things tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n
In other news, Tottenham have confirmed the appointment of Dan Lewindon as their new Performance Director.
