Speaking to SPURSPLAY, the Head Coach admitted frustration over the team\u2019s lack of intensity after the break but praised Vicario for his outstanding performance.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re definitely learning in the Champions League, especially away against a strong Monaco side. It doesn\u2019t surprise me that they performed well today,\u201d Frank said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a relatively even first half, but Monaco were better in the second. We didn\u2019t reach the performance level we wanted or play with the required intensity. There were too many individual mistakes and misplaced passes. That happens sometimes, but it was a contrast to our last game against Aston Villa, where we were strong, intense, and Vic had nothing to do. This time, he was called upon nine times \u2014 far too many \u2014 but he was fantastic tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe players were determined to defend the goal and did their best, but sometimes you don\u2019t hit the desired level. On nights like that, taking a point and keeping a clean sheet is still positive. At the moment, I\u2019m disappointed with the performance, especially in the second half, but we\u2019ll learn from it. Playing in the Champions League requires constant growth and improvement.\u201d<\/p>\n
