However, the Swedish striker has struggled to live up to expectations so far, with recurring fitness problems preventing him from showing his best form on a consistent basis.<\/p>\n
Concerns about Isak\u2019s condition grew after he was forced off at half-time during Liverpool\u2019s Champions League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt due to a groin issue. He subsequently missed the Brentford game and remains unavailable for selection.<\/p>\n
Isak may require surgery, warns injury expert<\/p>\n
Injury specialist Ben Dinnery has offered a sobering update, suggesting Liverpool may eventually have to consider surgery to protect Isak\u2019s long-term fitness.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Escapist Magazine via ECHO, Dinnery explained:<\/p>\n
> \u201cThere may come a point where they decide surgery is necessary. The aim is usually twofold: to reduce the risk of recurring injuries and to help the player return to their pre-injury performance levels.<\/p>\n

Dinnery added that Isak\u2019s disrupted pre-season has likely contributed to his current setbacks:<\/p>\n

Despite his slow start, former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey believes Isak will eventually justify his hefty price tag.<\/p>\n
