Trent Alexander-Arnold has surprised Real Madrid fans with a new video just days before facing his former club, Liverpool.<\/p>\n

His Liverpool contract was set to expire in June, sparking months of speculation about his future. After two decades at Anfield, he chose to embark on a new chapter in Spain. Tensions with Liverpool fans grew further following his Real Madrid unveiling. During his presentation in June, Alexander-Arnold addressed the audience in Spanish \u2014 and now, his fluency appears to have improved dramatically. His language tutor, Sara Duque, recently shared a video showcasing his progress.<\/p>\n
Speaking entirely in Spanish, Alexander-Arnold said:
\n\u201cHi, I\u2019m Trent. I started learning Spanish with Sara five months ago. Before that, I didn\u2019t speak a word. I wanted to learn to communicate better with my teammates, my coach, and the Real Madrid fans \u2014 to adapt better to the club and the people. I really enjoy the classes because they focus on football: press conferences, interviews, and the vocabulary I need to talk to my teammates.\u201d<\/p>\n
Duque, who has also worked with stars like Endrick, Richarlison, and Juli\u00e1n \u00c1lvarez, praised Trent\u2019s dedication on social media, writing:
\n\u201cFive months. That\u2019s all it took, but it wasn\u2019t easy. Trent didn\u2019t just learn Spanish \u2014 he started from zero, accepted imperfection, and kept showing up every day.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fans were impressed by his commitment, with one writing on X: \u201cTrent must be very smart and hardworking to adapt so quickly.\u201d Another added: \u201cHe was born to play in Spain.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, Alexander-Arnold\u2019s start on the pitch has been less smooth. He\u2019s been sidelined for over a month with a hamstring injury suffered in a Champions League clash with Marseille. He returned to the bench for El Cl\u00e1sico last weekend \u2014 his first matchday inclusion since the injury \u2014 and could make his comeback against Liverpool at Anfield next week.<\/p>\n
