Elliott, who is currently on loan at Villa from Liverpool, was ineligible to play against his parent club. During the match, he posted an Instagram story showing himself watching the game, captioned with two heart emojis.<\/p>\n
Liverpool supporters quickly noticed the post and began reacting online. One joked, \u201cHeart caption when we\u2019re on the attack. Recall immediately.\u201d Another said, \u201cHe definitely celebrated Salah\u2019s goal\u2014I just can\u2019t prove it.\u201d A third added, \u201cHe\u2019s 10000% cheering for us,\u201d while others urged Liverpool to \u201cterminate his loan\u201d and \u201cbring him back.\u201d<\/p>\n
Since joining Villa in the summer, the 22-year-old has struggled for consistent minutes, making just five appearances (167 minutes total) and scoring once.
