Bobby Firmino has offered an interesting prediction about his former Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s been a year and a half since the German coach brought an end to his near 10-year spell at Anfield, stepping away from management to take a break before later accepting a role as Red Bull\u2019s Head of Global Soccer.<\/p>\n
Klopp, now 58, coached Firmino for almost his entire Liverpool career, and the Al Sadd forward is convinced that his old manager will eventually return to the demands of club football.<\/p>\n
Firmino expects Klopp to manage again<\/p>\n
Speaking to Flashscore, Firmino fondly looked back on his time working with Klopp and suggested that the ex-Liverpool boss won\u2019t stay away from the touchline forever.<\/p>\n
The 34-year-old said:<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was the best manager I ever had. I have incredible memories and I\u2019m grateful for everything I learned from him.<\/p>\n
I think he\u2019s just taking a break. I believe he\u2019ll go back to coaching a club. Whether that\u2019s Liverpool or not, only he knows.\u201d<\/p>\n
Could Klopp return to club football?<\/p>\n
Just a couple of weeks ago, Klopp refused to close the door on a potential Anfield comeback one day, even though he admitted he doesn\u2019t miss the everyday intensity of management.<\/p>\n
When he announced his Liverpool exit in 2024, he openly admitted he was \u201crunning out of energy\u201d after 23 straight years in the dugout.<\/p>\n
Firmino \u2013 who played more games under Klopp than anyone else (355, per Transfermarkt) \u2013 likely has as good a read as anyone on the German\u2019s mindset, so his comments shouldn\u2019t be taken lightly.<\/p>\n
A return to management from Klopp isn\u2019t unthinkable, though he\u2019d surely only accept a job that truly inspires him. With his reputation, he can afford to wait for the perfect project.<\/p>\n
