The Blues appear to have acted quickly to finalise an agreement for Ordonez, a player Liverpool had also been monitoring closely, per the Daily Mail. Lewis Steele, who wrote the original report, claimed that youth scouts consider the teenager \u201cthe best player of his age group in the whole of South America,\u201d as relayed by Empire of the Kop.<\/p>\n

Chelsea closing in on another elite prospect
\nThe club\u2019s owners have made a habit of snapping up the most promising young talents from across the globe, and Ordonez is the latest player identified for their long-term vision at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n
Liverpool were also thought to be keen on the Ecuadorian youngster, but Chelsea once again look to have moved with impressive efficiency. It mirrors their recent captures of Estevao Willian, Kendry Paez, Aaron Anselmino and numerous other rising stars.<\/p>\n
