The forward has managed only three appearances this season while trying to play through the problem. Solanke is aiming for a quick comeback, with manager Thomas Frank stating in early October that he didn\u2019t expect the former Bournemouth star to face a long spell on the sidelines.<\/p>\n<p>The 28-year-old hasn\u2019t played for Spurs since August and has featured for just 49 minutes in total, coming on against Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Burnley. Despite the setback, the England international has been trying to remain upbeat, judging by his recent Instagram activity.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, he captioned several new photos of himself with: \u201cLittle bit of life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Solanke\u2019s latest post follows a similar message from four weeks earlier, when he wrote: \u201cPositivity through the dark times,\u201d alongside more pictures.<\/p>\n<p>He has recently hinted on social media that his return to action may not be far away.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHi everyone, just a quick update on my current situation,\u201d he wrote. \u201cThe last few months have been incredibly frustrating as I\u2019ve tried everything to push through my ankle issue before opting for surgery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNone of it fixed the problem, so we decided to go ahead with a minor operation, which I had this morning. It all went well, so hopefully I\u2019ll be back on the pitch very soon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you for all the love and messages.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Before Spurs\u2019 Champions League meeting with Bodo\/Glimt in September, Frank confirmed that Solanke missed the trip because of the procedure. \u201cDom has had this ankle problem that\u2019s been troubling him for a while,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo we decided to have a minor surgery. It\u2019s a small procedure, so it rules him out for today and for the Leeds game as well.
