Graham Potter has delivered a fresh update on Dejan Kulusevski\u2019s injury, with a clearer picture now forming around the Tottenham star\u2019s expected return. The Sweden manager believes the midfielder is on course for a long-awaited comeback in December.<\/p>\n
Kulusevski has been out since May after damaging his right patella against Crystal Palace, a setback that forced him to miss the Europa League final against Manchester United. He underwent surgery shortly after and was initially expected to feature in the early months of the season, but he is yet to appear under Thomas Frank.<\/p>\n
Potter, speaking after Sweden\u2019s 1-1 draw with Slovenia, revealed encouraging news about the 25-year-old\u2019s recovery. \u201cDejan is progressing. He\u2019s pleased with where he is in his rehabilitation,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s in Tottenham\u2019s hands, and his. He felt good when we last spoke, and I hope to see him around Christmas or the New Year.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added that while nothing is certain, Kulusevski is \u201cin a good place\u201d and ready to take the next step in his rehab, stressing that there is no pressure being placed on his return.<\/p>\n
Spurs, meanwhile, are cautious about rushing him back to avoid any setbacks. Back in September, Frank noted that while he wouldn\u2019t put an exact month on his return, the club was hopeful of seeing him again before the end of the year. \u201cIt\u2019s not tomorrow, but hopefully not too far away,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Sweden struggled in Kulusevski\u2019s absence, finishing bottom of their World Cup qualifying group.
