Porro seemed ready to head straight for the tunnel, but Bergvall believed the team should acknowledge the fans. The Spaniard lingered near the centre-circle, repeatedly calling Bergvall\u2019s name before moving toward him\u2014only for Pape Matar Sarr to gently step in and guide him back. Porro then left the pitch without clapping the crowd, walking directly down the tunnel. The scene comes shortly after Micky van de Ven and Djed Spence ignored Thomas Frank and stormed off following the loss to Chelsea.<\/p>\n
Asked about the Porro\u2013Bergvall incident, Frank said he hadn’t seen it but stressed that the squad must stay composed during difficult moments.<\/p>\n
Fans Criticise Porro Over Clash With Bergvall<\/p>\n
The footage quickly went viral, and many Spurs fans sided with Bergvall. One supporter accused Porro of \u201cbullying\u201d his teammate, while another wrote: \u201cIf this is true, it\u2019s unacceptable.\u201d Some even suggested selling Porro, criticising both his performances and his attitude.<\/p>\n
Others argued the situation highlights deeper issues, claiming Frank is losing control of the dressing room. \u201cFrank is making the dressing room implode,\u201d one fan said. Another added: \u201cThat dressing room is TENSE.\u201d<\/p>\n
Porro Responds, Citing \u2018Frustration\u2019<\/p>\n
Porro later addressed his outburst on Instagram, saying he was reacting to fans disrespecting a teammate:<\/p>\n
\u201cFootball is emotions. There can always be mistakes, but I will not tolerate hearing disrespect toward my teammates\u2014hence my frustration.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added:<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will rise again. Six months ago things were bad, but it\u2019s about how it ends. To the true Spurs fans, I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n
Porro, now in his third season at Tottenham after joining from Sporting CP in 2023, helped the club win last season\u2019s Europa League.<\/p>\n
