Spanish journalist Bruno Alemany recently suggested that a transfer to Anfield for the Palace captain is \u201cpractically done,\u201d but The Athletic has reported that there\u2019s no guarantee the London club will agree to talks in January. In a Tuesday update, Gregg Evans of The Athletic stated that a mid-season move is unlikely, adding that Guehi may be better off completing the final seven months of his deal at Selhurst Park.<\/p>\n

Evans wrote: \u201cLiverpool remain keen on Guehi, but the chances of a January deal are slim. His contract expires in the summer, and negotiating a transfer next month would be complicated. How much is he worth now? More importantly, how much would Liverpool be willing to pay to tempt Palace? And what incentive does Guehi have to leave early?<\/p>\n
